Philosophy
PMC’s philosophy is based on the Three Principles: Mind, Consciousness and Thought. These principles are the foundation of all human psychological functioning. The Three Principles were First realized by Syd Banks, a man with a 9th grade education. Syd, who worked in a steel factory, had a profound transformative experience. This experience led him to find these psychological truths. The Three Principles are now taught in schools, major corporations, families, communities, drug/alcohol treatment centers, department of corrections, and to individuals all over the world.
Our belief is very different than the traditional medical or self-improvement model. Change through traditional models is hard and takes a great deal of time and effort. We believe the road to health is much simpler and believe that everyone already has health, wisdom and common sense inside of them. The human experience can shift when that thought is realized. By pointing to the principles of Mind, Thought and Consciousness, the inner wisdom that lies within a person will be drawn to the surface. This wisdom bring feelings of health, hope and happiness that are free from analysis, judgments and old habits developed through conditioned thought. This process is not intended to eliminate the ups and downs of life, but rather to show an individual how to go through those ups and downs without being negatively affected by them.
As Syd Banks once said, “We have the most wonderful job in the world. We find people in various stages of sleep. And then we get to tap them on the shoulder and be with them as they wake up to the full magnificence of life.”

Counseling Services
Over the years, we have seen many individuals, couples and families who are experiencing various difficulties. The at-risk youth, stressed out parents, victims of violent crimes, diagnosed mentally-ill and overwhelmed educators are finding hope and reconnecting with their innate well-being through a new understanding. The new understanding that is emerging in psychology today, is changing the way we understand reality itself.
Whatever the circumstance, this truth still remains… well-being can never be damaged or lost for good. Our approach is more of a teaching/coaching style focused on possibilities, not problems. We want clients to see how life experiences occur moment to moment, from the inside out, using the principles of Mind, Thought and Consciousness. We have counselors available for weekday, evening and weekend appointments. Sessions are customized to best fit your schedule and needs. Our usual fee for services varies based on need and service provided. We believe no one should be turned down for care; therefore we accept sliding scale cash payment or insurance reimbursement.
